Please join President Shirley for a Potluck Dinner Mixer. This will give newer and more tenured members a chance to get to know each other in a casual fun setting, outside the more structured events. Bring a dish to share based on your seniority. Shirley will provide a main dish/protein, and of course wine and soft drinks/water.

What does a barrel monitor do? You will pick up the barrel (actually a large decorated box) on Tuesday Nov 19th or Wednesday November 20th (location at the airport)and take it to the merchant who has agreed to take the box. If you cannot do these dates, please arrange to have someone do it for you.

Then you are responsible for checking the boxes once a week or so, taking out the toys and dropping them off at the airport for temporary storage. The final day for you to do the pick up is Wednesday December 12th (all day) or Thursday morning before 12. I would love it if you would offer to do at least 4 locations, or feel free to do more, maybe share pick-ups with another member. We all have social events this time of year and it is great to have another person who can pick up toys in your absence.

Once signups are complete, we will reach out we will reach out to you directly to determining the location and  #of barrels for each monitor.  

Soroptimist of Truckee Donner is continuing our tradition of hosting our Soroptishop Holiday Artisan Faire. Start your shopping early for local artwork, jewelry, pottery, clothes, cosmetics, herbals, handcrafts, hand blown glass and much more! Over 50 local and small business artisans participating.

Tickets for our in person portion can be purchased in advance HERE.

Shoppers pay just $18 to attend and will receive a glass of Truckee River wine to enjoy while shopping. All ticket sales to benefit our local community through Soroptimist of Truckee Donner!
