Installation Dinner - June 27 - Sign up now!
Hello Soroptimists! It’s time to sign up for our end of year celebration, to thank Cathy’s wonderful board and welcome Shirley’s. Our annual installation dinner will be June 27 at Laura Mohun’s home. It will be a Mexican fiesta catered by Casa Baeza. Since it is a catered event, please RSVP as soon as you can. Cost is $35. Best to bring a check to a meeting prior to event but we can also collect day of. Though we will have some drinks, feel free to bring your favorite bottle to share. Looking forward to celebrating a wonderful year!

Hello Lovely Soroptimists!
It’s time for our next fun event! Come join us this Sunday 8/25 at 9:00 for our end of summer Kayak/Paddle and Picnic.
Bring your paddle board or kayak or rent at Donner Lake Water sports (530-582-1999). $30 per hour for double kayak or $25 per hour for single. Parking is $10 per car so carpooling encouraged. We’ll finish our paddle with a pot luck brunch. Text me at 408-204-7149 if you are coming.
When: Sunday 8/25 at 9:00 Where: Donner Memorial State Park, 12593 Donner Pass Rd, Truckee, CA 96161. East entrance: Follow blue boat rental signs for Donner Lake Water Sports 2nd right. Our speakers for the evening will tell you stories about how these organizations work, who they help and how they benefit girls and women. Come eat pizza, get to know others better and learn about where our money goes!

Come join us for a FUN night of making candles at Our Rustic Heart Candle!!
When: Nov 14 at 5:30
Where: 10975 Pioneer Trail, Unit #2
Pioneer Commerce Center
How: Cost is $48 and includes the how-to, supplies and everything we need to make a 16 oz custom jar candle.
Additional 16 oz candles made are $30 each - and other candles to make are priced accordingly.
Our Rustic Heart Candle company will provide various non-alcoholic beverages and cookies.
Soroptimists will bring wine and other appetizers - because we are all about the gourmet aspect.
Deadline to sign up is Oct 28 - and is limited to 16 people, so please only sign up if you are a firm commitment.
