The Installation of the new board was held at Laura Mohun’s home... inside because of threatening rain. Shirley Phelan organized the delicious dinner from Smokey’s. SusanHorst, District 5 Director, was our installing officer. She noted that incoming President Denise has chosen for her motto, “When women support each other, incredible things happen.” As small gifts today for our incoming officers and board of directors, she has selected a small succulent plant and you can read on page 5 why it was chosen. She then specified the responsibilities of each office asking the new officers if they agreed to accept their responsibilities. Fortunately, they did. Leslie Dugger stood in for Cathy Leibow and Nancy Davis, President- elect and Treasurer, who could not attend.
Lauren Hudson shared an inspirational quote. Lisa Saqui as her last request wanted a dance party, which we had outside on the deck. Dancing was enhanced by the vodka shots with raspberries supplied by Marie Strassberger. See the pictures.
About 25 SITD members shared this lovely evening together to begin a new fiscal year, starting July 1st. We all welcomed Denise Trani-Morris as our new president and gave a present of a massage and wine for Lisa as out-going president.
