2025 Toy Drive was an amazing success!

Our recent toy drive was a tremendous success, thanks to the generosity and support of our community and our SITD family. Over the course of the campaign, we collected an impressive number of new, unwrapped toys that were distributed to children and families in need on Saturday, December 13th. More than 260 families and 620 children received a gift thanks to the generosity of Truckee and SITD.
 
SITD coordinated with Tahoe Community Cares (TCC), community businesses, volunteers, and local partners who came together with a shared goal: to spread joy and make the holidays brighter for children. From educational toys and creative kits to dolls, games, remote-controlled cars, bicycles, skateboards, 
board games, the wide variety of donations ensured that children of all ages would have something special to enjoy. Thanks to the Toy Drive Committee and all of the Toy Box monitors who made sure that everything was collected and sorted by age and gender, which made filling the family bags a breeze.  Their hard work and commitment played a vital role in the day's success. 
This toy drive was more than just a collection effort—it was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together. Because of your kindness and generosity, countless children will experience the excitement and happiness that every child deserves.
