For our second year about 20 Soroptimists and friends joined the Truckee River Day 2026 tree planting in the Sagehen on October 18th. The weather was sunny, but chilly We planted lots of SugarPine trees and enjoyed the company and the task. The trees are being planted on an old fire scarred area. This restoration should get us back to pre-fire coverage which restores the natural environment. Nancy Wallis, who is on the Truckee Watershed board, championed this great service idea. Let's try to do this every year!
