On April 27th, 2022 we honored high school students from Truckee High and Sierra High with a Youth Appreciation Lunch (YAL). This year we were able to have the event in Dana Frank’s Culinary Classroom at Truckee High School (THS).

Soroptimist International of Tahoe Donner Celebrates a Record-Breaking 50th Annual Wine and Restaurant Faire Soroptimist International of Tahoe Donner (SITD) is thrilled to announce the success of its 50th Annual Wine and Restaurant Faire, held on June 7th at the beautiful Coyote Moon Golf Course. The event, a staple in our community, was a tremendous success, netting over $50,000. These funds will be directly invested back into our local area through scholarships for young women, community grants, and essential service projects. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the local restaurants and wineries that generously donated their time and products, as well as every community member who attended and supported our mission. Your generosity makes it possible for us to continue our work empowering women and girls in the Tahoe Donner area.

The SITD Celebrating the Best for Women Event was held on March 21, 2024 at the Glenshire Clubhouse in Truckee.

Soroptimist International Sierra Nevada Region held its fabulous in-person 46th Annual Region Conference April 1-3, 2022 at the Atlantis in Reno.

We inducted our 2023-24 SITD Board on June 15th.

Soroptimist International of Tahoe Donner (SITD) held its 48th Annual Wine and Restaurant Faire on June 10th at Coyote Moon Golf Course. The fundraising event netted over $40,000 to be used for scholarships, grants and community projects. We thank our sponsors, members, and attendees for making this possible. The rain did not discourage the 300 attendees who enjoyed food tastings, and wine and beer from local restaurants, wineries and breweries. The silent auction tables were packed with multiple bids. SITD President, Denise Trani-Morris, noted, "This past fiscal year we were able to give over $82,000 in scholarships and grants, helping women and girls in our community. Now we have a head start for the upcoming year!"
